Simone has over 25 years clinical experience as a Chartered and State registered Physiotherapist . Simone started her career in 1993 working within the NHS as a Band 5 completing all her basic clinical fields of Physiotherapy. In 1996 she found true passion was in MSK working her way up the ranks to a senior level (Band 7) within the NHS. Part of her role was to undertake the clinical supervision/teaching of Physiotherapy students from Cardiff School of Physiotherapy.
Simone has also worked closely with ESP clinicians to undertake out- patient clinics with Orthopaedic consultants.
Simone has a holistic approach to patient management which is why she trained in Western/Chinese Medicine in Acupuncture for pain relief in 1999 and continues to use in clinical practice today.
Simone also holds a Hydrotherapy qualification (1998) to undertake Hydrotherapy session’s as a Band 6/7 Physiotherapist within the NHS.
In 2008 she decided to leave the NHS to progress her career in Private practice working in Sports injury Clinics within the South Wales Area. As well as developing her scope as a Sports Physiotherapist working for several Rugby Clubs – Bonymaen, Neath, Aberavon.
Simone also has worked for a 6-month period as a Physiotherapist on a Chronic Pain Management Programme (2013) based at Velindre Hospital, Cardiff.
Simone is currently working towards an APPI Pilates qualification with recently completing level 1 and 2 (2018).
Simone feels incredibly lucky to combine her passion for football (born and bred Swansea Jack) with working for her home club Swansea City AFC. She is employed part time (20 hours a week) as an Academy Physiotherapist working with elite football players from age 9-16 years. Simone holds an ITMMiF level 4 qualification for Trauma Management and pitch side first aid (2018) to cover training sessions plus match days, covering both home/away fixtures.
