Yoga for Anxiety

This course offers yoga postures and breathing techniques that can help to manage anxiety, fearfulness or similar states of mind.

Yoga postures, breathing and the introduction of journaling will give participants the tools to manage their anxiety better, and, over time, to improve symptoms ( like sleep disorder, low self-esteem, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, poor concentration, a feeling of not being in control etc.)

The sessions will be delivered in a small group, with a maximum of eight participants. At the core of the delivery are accepting and non-judgemental values. Connecting with the body and working with the breath will enable each person to create a unique and personal way of creating more balance in their lives.

Techniques and postures taught in the sessions have a therapeutic purpose but will have to be practised with patience, and over a good length of time. This will be the responsibility of each individual.

It is to be understood that people are to continue with any medication prescribed by their doctor, or to follow any other regime recommend by supporting health professionals.

Mindfulness for stress management

Managing change and self-care in challenging situations through mindfulness

This is a series of three workshops with focus on the principles of mindfulness.

The settings for the workshops will be small and supportive. Life stresses, particularly whose resulting from change (chosen or enforced) will be discussed.

Mindfulness, learning and how to apply mindfulness in different settings and aspects of life will be explored, with emphasis on action learning and reflecting.

Those taking part will be encouraged to (re-)discover creative thinking, problem-solving and a trust in the self, leading to a quiet confidence and self-reliance.

The above principles and techniques can then be applied and developed in personal, social or professional contexts.

£95.00 FOR 3 WORKSHOPS (3 HRS)– SPACES LIMITED TO 12 PEOPLE

Assertiveness – Workshops for women

This series of workshops will enable you to develop assertiveness, listening and communication skills in a safe, non-critical and non-judgemental environment.

Learning will be action- and experience-based, and those taking part will be encouraged to support each other in this process.

The sessions will be delivered in small groups. They aim to give you the knowledge and understanding of assertiveness, and to build confidence in becoming more assertive. This will, in turn, enable you to deal with difficult situations, and to make communication more effective. Listening skills will be developed and improved.

The course will clarify what assertiveness is, and it will de-bunk what it is not.

Those taking part will be supported to put assertiveness skills into practice in different aspects of their lives (in relationships with themselves and others, at home, at work, in social contexts, or any other chosen situation). And having fun whilst learning will also be encouraged!

The outcome will ensure that you will be able to be more true to yourself, and to discover surprising opportunities

It's always good to receive your feeback...

Just a quick line Chris to say that I’ve just got back from the second lot of skiing this year and that the knees have held up well thanks to your expert advice and the exercise regime you gave me. I wouldn’t have thought it possible to keep on with the skiing – and it probably wouldn’t have been without your intervention.

I was very pleased with the treatment that my daughter received at Swansea Physiotherapy. I have used Chris & Co several times over the past five years and would definitely recommend.
